Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

HaulYEG ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We comply with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to quote, schedule, deliver, and invoice our services. This typically includes:

  • Your name, phone number, and email address
  • Service address and access details
  • Photos or descriptions of the items or area for which you are requesting service
  • Payment information (processed securely through our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers)
  • Communications you send us (email, text, voicemail, contact form submissions)
  • Basic website usage data (pages visited, browser type, approximate location) collected automatically through cookies and analytics

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide quotes and schedule services
  • Communicate about your booking, arrival times, and follow-ups
  • Process payments and issue invoices or receipts
  • Improve our services and website
  • Send occasional service reminders, seasonal offers, or company updates (you may opt out at any time)
  • Meet legal, tax, and insurance requirements

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers we use to operate our business (e.g. Jobber for scheduling and invoicing, Stripe or similar for payments, Google Workspace for email, hosting and analytics providers). These providers are bound by confidentiality and use the data only to perform services for us.
  • Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
  • Successors in the event of a sale, merger, or transfer of our business.

4. Photos & Marketing

We may take before/after photos of work performed for quality control and marketing. We do not include faces, identifying personal items, or property addresses in marketing photos without your written permission. To opt out of photos, notify us in writing before the job begins.

5. Cookies & Website Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and to measure traffic (e.g. page views, device type, approximate region). We may use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some site features may not work as intended.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your information is stored on secure servers operated by reputable Canadian and U.S. service providers. We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide services and to meet legal, tax, accounting, and insurance obligations (typically 7 years for invoicing records). When no longer needed, we securely destroy or anonymize the information.

8. Your Rights

Under PIPA and PIPEDA you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time
  • Request that we delete information we no longer need to retain

To make a request, contact us using the information below. We will respond within 30 days.
